About AquaFlow

AquaFlow is an evidence-based daily fluid requirement engine engineered to replace generic "8 glasses a day" myths with peer-reviewed medical calculations.

🔬

Peer-Reviewed Science

Calculations are modeled strictly on European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and Institute of Medicine (IOM) clinical guidelines.

🔒

100% Privacy-First

Zero data tracking or database storage. All calculations execute instantly inside your browser locally.

Real-Time Precision

Instant dynamic adjustments for workout sweat rates, heat index, pregnancy, lactation, caffeine, and alcohol.

Our Mission

Hydration is the single most vital component of cellular homeostasis, regulating metabolic rate, joint lubrication, cognitive clarity, and kidney filtration. Yet over 75% of adults suffer from chronic mild dehydration due to relying on outdated static rules of thumb.

Our mission at AquaFlow is to make precision hydration accessible, transparent, and easy to follow. By processing your unique physical metrics—body weight, height, age, exercise intensity, climate, and health goals—AquaFlow delivers an individualized daily roadmap.

The Calculation Engine

AquaFlow uses a 5-layer physiological algorithm:

1. Baseline Body Mass Requirement

Calculates 40 mL/kg for youth, 35 mL/kg for adults, and 30 mL/kg for seniors, with a +5% adjustment for male lean muscle mass.

2. Workout Sweat Replenishment

Adds 350 mL for every 30 minutes of exertion to compensate for evaporative sweat loss.

3. Heat & Humidity Multipliers

Applies a 1.20× multiplier for summer heat and 1.35× for extreme humid conditions.

4. Special Health & Diuretic Adjustments

Incorporates +300 mL for pregnancy, +700 mL for lactation, +50 mL per extra coffee cup, and +150 mL per alcoholic drink.
